My name is Lawana Johnson, I am the founder and owner of Ark of Caring Assisted Living Home. It has been a long time dream of mine to own and operate an assisted living home. Through much perseverance, in October 2013 my dream became a reality. It is my desire that my residents feel at home in an often uncomfortable time which can allow family members to be at ease.

 

I was raised in California by my grandparents where I developed a love and respect for the wisdom of the elderly.

I'm passionate about giving the greatest care in my home by listening to the needs and concerns of my residents while providing a peaceful atmosphere. I understand that nutrition and medical needs are vital to everyday living and quality of life.

 

I served in the hospitality industry for 25 years. As a General Manager among many other skills I acquired training in effective communications, pathogens, and emergency evacuations.

 

I have been married for 33 years to my high school sweetheart, Dale Johnson. Together we understand the meaning of family, we are proud parents of 3 children and 6 grandchildren.
